Introductions to Future Tenses

So, how many future tenses are there in English?

Actually, we only have 3 “tenses” in English, and 4 ways or “aspects” to talk about each of them.

The future tense consists of the same 4 aspects as the past and the present tense:

Future perfect simple (will have + past participle)

Future perfect progressive (will have been + ing)

Future simple (will/going to)

Future progressive (will be+ ing/going to be + ing)

In the next few posts, I will discuss the reasons to use each of these future aspects, so stay tuned and happy learning!
